The Lake County Library System Libraries now have a genre of books and information which reflects the ‘green initiative’ sweeping the country. This important movement encourages communities to develop a new consciousness of how to build homes, communities, family and personal lives conserving the earth and its resources. It is to become more effective in the use of our environment’s renewable and non-renewable resources.

The libraries of the Lake County Library System have many items listed under the subject heading Green Movement Literature. The following is a brief selection of Lake County library books that are available:
