Mary Anna Evans @ the library
Mary Anna Evans' archeologist heroine Faye Longchamp is back in the sixth of the award winning series, Strangers. Lake County is honored to be included on the book tour for her latest novel. A special appearance with signing will be held in the Leesburg Public Library on Wednesday, October 20th at 6:30 p.m.
International Thriller Author Jamie Freveletti
Jamie Freveletti on her national book release tour will appear at the W.T. Bland Public Library on Tuesday, July 20th at noon as the featured speaker for the Brown Bag Book Club. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy coffee and dessert. She will appear once again in the Four Corners area at the Cagan Crossings Community Library at 6 p.m.
Avoiding the Con in Construction
Author Kia Ricchi will be appearing at the W.T. Bland Public Library on Tuesday August 3, @ 6:30 p.m. Her book, Avoiding the Con in Construction, is a road map that helps steer you away from the pitfalls of contracting.

Adult Summer Reading Program in Leesburg
In 1844, James Russell Lowell wrote “And what is so rare as a day in June? Then, if ever, come perfect days.” He was right - June was perfect for coming to the library – and joining the Adult Summer Reading Program at the Leesburg Public Library.
East Lake Happenings
The East Lake County Library is in the middle of the Summer Reading Program. It looks like we might have record breaking attendance for our Summer Activity Days. The first two have had 43 and 50 people show.
The Bees are Coming to the Marion Baysinger Library!
Beekeeper James Benware, with 30 years' experience, will give a presentation on the history of bees and beekeeping.
Astor County Library
The Astor Friends group, under the direction of landscaper P.J. Jackson, has been busy working on the landscaping in the front of our building. They have finished the side with the butterfly and hummingbird garden. It looks fantastic!
