Rachel Dellinger Joins Library Staff

New Literacy Coordinator

Rachel Dellinger has joined the staff of Lake County Library Services in the position of Literacy and Program Specialist. Rachel will oversee the daily needs of the literacy program and will be the direct contact for staff, tutors and learners.

Rachel comes to us through the Lake County Division of Parks and Trails and brings with her a wide variety of experience. An Illinois native, Rachel attended college in Tennessee and West Virginia where she earned advanced degrees in the natural sciences. Her work experience includes teaching, conducting research, and serving as a park ranger for Lake County Division of Parks and Trails. She developed a passion for literacy while learning Spanish and volunteering as an ESL tutor at the City of Tavares Public Library. She enjoys distance running, bird-watching, and sharing nature and literature with her three young children.
