An event that is Dangerously Delicious

Opening of the 2014 BookFest

This year, we’re throwing the ultimate BookFest Party featuring some of our favorite Chefs - and you’re invited. Join us at 6 p.m. in the W. T. Bland Public Library for an event that is Dangerously Delicious.  Special guest, best-selling author Lisa Black will provide a glimpse into the world of forensic science and the characters who inhabit that world. “Devilishly clever blind alleys and red herrings” Publishers Weekly describes her latest The Price of Innocence. Members of the Mystery Writers’ of America, Florida Chapter will also be on hand to share a wide variety of crime and mystery fiction stories.

The opening event for the 2014 BookFest, will honor authors with food, music and fun. This year we will bestow upon 3 library staff the coveted title of Best Book Bytes Recipes and attendees can try a sample! Entertainment will be provided by Captain Harry, singer-guitarist-songwriter from South Florida who has recorded and toured with hundreds of artists all over the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
