Groundbreaking Reads at Leesburg

Leesburg Library
Carol Anderson

Learn about the history of Leesburg’s local landmark, the Mote-Morris House on Tuesday, July 16th at 2 pm at the Leesburg Public Library. Included will be a presentation about the archaeological dig that was done on the property after the 1890s house was moved to its present location.

Two musical performances will take place at the Leesburg Public Library in July. On Saturday, July 6th at 2 pm, enjoy bluegrass, country, patriotic, gospel, and popular musical numbers performed by the popular October Mountain Washtub Band. Then return on Tuesday, July 23rd at 2 pm as guitarist Tom LaVenia delights and entertains with a variety of tunes, including many popular favorites.

All programs are free and open to the public, sponsored by the Friends of the Leesburg Library as part of Groundbreaking Reads, our Adult Summer Reading Program 2013.
