Dig into Reading Under the Surface with Groundbreaking Reads

Registration begins Monday, May 13th for the Summer Reading Program. This year the program theme for kids 12 and under is Dig into READING. Teens ages 13 to 17 will head Under the Surface and adults will explore Groundbreaking Reads. Head to the library this summer for fun crafts, games and performers. Win some great prize incentives for checking out books. Kids the more you read, read, read the better your chance will be of winning weekly prizes.

Calling all teens! Create a video promoting Summer Reading at the library, including your interpretation of the 2013 CSLP teen slogan "Beneath the Surface," and you could win $275 and a $125 award for your library. Any teen, aged 13 -18, can enter the CSLP "2013 Teen Video Challenge". Adults register and pick up a summer reading packet at the Reference Desk for lots of reading lists, puzzles, games and reading logs. The more you read, the better your chance of winning the specially created gift basket which will be "raffled" from all of the reading entries turned in by adult reading program participants at the end of the program. Readers will also earn incentives when completed reading logs are approved.
