The 9th Annual Bluegrass Festival

East Lake County Library

It is Bluegrass Festival time once again at the East lake County Library. The date is March 16th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. We are going to have two bands this year, the most popular and fan favorites. We are proud to feature Blackwater Creek Bluegrass Band and Makin' Time. Also, we will have author Captain Bill Good. Captain Good is the author of By the Light of the Lighter Pine, The Coastal Collection of Short Stories about Natural Florida. These stories promote environmental education and responsible and sustainable development and growth that extoll the beauty and majesty of Florida's heritage and Natural environment. Captain Good will sing and tell stories from his books.

The East Lake Friends of the Library Spring Book/Bake sale returns. They will have lots of books for sale, yummy baked goods, a raffle and a community yardsale. To add to the festivities we will also have Happy Faces face painters for kids of all ages. We will have the Mobile Plant Clinic from the Agricultural Center. Finally, we will have the ever popular Square Foot Gardener, Steve Earls, on hand to give tips and advice on gardening in a small area. There will be food and drinks on sale by the East Lake County Historical Society. Everyone come out for some great music, food, fun and help make this one of our events yet.

Hope to see you there. East Lake County Library Staff
