Helen Lehmann Memorial Library

Martha Policke

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our December events. Also, thank you to our Guest Speakers of the month: Attorney Jennifer Isaksen, our Montverde Fire Department (Fire Chief Noel Fetters and Spence), Dr. David Moskowitz M.D., U.S. Chess Federation Member John Davies, and Insurance Advisor Mark Lamb, who volunteered their time and talents to our Library. Please keep in mind that all of our programs are a community service, and there is no charge to attend these programs. Please R.S.V.P. for these events. Additional copies of the Library’s calendar are available at the Library.

Happy New Year!  Mondays are Children’s Story-Times with themed events (New Year’s, Reading with Yorkie, and Clowning Around with Honey Bunch, the Clown); we read books, sing songs, and create crafts. Tuesdays and Thursdays are After School Tutoring days. Fridays are Game Days (Puzzles, Scrabble, Chess, and Backgammon) for fun and socializing. Arlene with Encore Home Décor will present a workshop on “Less is More” and the benefits behind it for Interior Designing. Lee Welsh will deliver a seminar on Residential Remodeling. Dr. David Moskowitz M.D. will open the forum with free Medical Consultations.

We will host two computer/technology classes. The first class will be on computer basics. The second class will be training on your new devices such as Kindle, Nook, IPAD, etc.

The Library will host a Potluck; so, bring a dish to share, come, and enjoy.

In observation of the Martin Luther King Holiday, the Library will be closed on Monday, January 21st.
