Lincolns to Visit Leesburg!

Dramatically Speaking Performers William and Sue Wills to Appear
Carol Anderson

Dramatically Speaking performers William and Sue Wills appear in costume as President Abraham Lincoln and Mrs. Mary Todd Lincoln at the Leesburg Public Library on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:30 am.  The Lincolns' mutual interest in politics attracted them to one another, and their marriage became one of deep, true love for one another, each overlooking the other's negative qualities.  No other First Lady suffered as many personal tragedies and public humiliations.

Starting in 1991, William and Sue Wills began researching, writing, and performing a series of presentations called Presidents and Their First Ladies, Dramatically Speaking.  They have since toured many states and given over 300 performances each year.  Many of those performances have been at the nation's Presidential Museums.  Don't miss this unique historical portrayal, sponsored by the Friends of the Leesburg Library.  The Leesburg Public Library is located at 100 East Main Street, Leesburg, Florida 34748 and may be contacted by phone at 352-728-9790, by e-mail at librarian@leesburgflorida.gov, or on the web at www.leesburgflorida.gov/library
