Adult Summer Reading Program in Leesburg

Why Should the Kids Have All the Fun?

     The Friends of the Leesburg Library are happy to support our Adult Summer Reading Program again this year.  The theme will be Between the Covers.  Registration begins on June 4th when participants may pick up their registration packets at the Library.  The program will continue through July 31st, when names will be drawn for this year's prize bags.  Adults may read - or listen to - any books of their choice and need only submit a basic review form for each title.  Five programs have also been scheduled for which participants may submit reviews.  All reviews will be included in the prize drawing.  Programs include an eReader Clinic at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 19th; a performance by the October Mountain Band at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 23rd; a presentation by Rex Masterson of The Florida Porch on Appraising Antiques at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 26th; an account of building a cabin and travelling Florida's backwoods by the author of Suwannee Notes, Robin Etter, at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10th; and an author visit at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 17th by Sherry Cooper Sanders who will share the story of her historical fiction novel based during the Civil War - My Brother . . .
