Job Counseling Program expands AGAIN!

Erika L. Greene

On January 23, 2012, the Lake County Library System (LCLS) and Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc. Job Center launched a Job Counseling program at the East Lake County Library. As expected, the response has been overwhelming and we expanded the program on March 6, 2012 to the Leesburg Library located at 100 East Main Street in Leesburg! And, on March 22, 2012 it expands yet again to the Marion Baysinger Library in Groveland!

The goal of the Job Counseling program is to help individuals discover their strengths, market their skills and abilities to employers, develop a resume, learn effective interview skills, and use the internet to find jobs. The job counselor is available to provide information, support, and guidance for individuals looking to get into the job market for the first time or re-invent themselves after having been laid off.

Need help finding a job now? Come to the East Lake Library on Monday mornings from 10:00 am - 12 noon or the Leesburg Public Library on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon or the Marion Baysinger Library on Thursday mornings from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon to meet with a job counselor.
