Carol Anderson Wins Scholarship Award

Leesburg Librarian Wins Scholarship Award

Carol Anderson, Adult Services Supervisor at the Leesburg Public Library, recently received a prestigious award from the Florida State Genealogical Society. At the 35th Annual Awards Banquet of the FSGS held in Maitland on November 11th, Carol was presented with the Charlotte Freels Duvall / FSGS Scholarship Award for genealogy librarianship. She received a certificate and a check in the amount of $500 to attend the National Genealogical Society Conference to be held in May 2012 in Cincinnati. The FSGS presents this award annually to a librarian serving genealogy patrons in recognition that Florida’s public libraries are a key resource for genealogical research.
