Spring has arrived, that means East Lake County Library's Bluegrass Festival is just around the corner. Saturday, April 9, 2011 will be filled with music, fun and food. Beginning at 10 a.m. with the popular Blackwater Creek Bluegrass Band the day will include mystery author H. Terrell Griffin at 11a.m. 2009 Mystery of the Year award winner, Terry will speak about his latest Matt Royal novel, Bitter Legacy. At 11:30 a.m. the October Mountain Washtub Band will appear. We will end the musical sets with High Caliber.
The festival will feature the The Friends of the East Lake County Library annual book/bake sale, raffle and community flea market. There will also be an opportunity to bring your unidentified or needy plants to the Master Gardner Mobile Plant Clinic.
For kids of all ages we will have Happy Faces face painters from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tasty treats will be for sale provided by East Lake Historical Society, BBQ Rednak and Del Franco pizza.
