East Lake Happenings

The East Lake County Library is in the middle of the Summer Reading Program. It looks like we might have record breaking attendance for our Summer Activity Days. The first two have had 43 and 50 people show. A big hand must go out to Miss Mandy, who is doing her first Summer Reading Program. A recap of the summer evnts will be in the October newsletter. Please note that the program of John Storms and the World of Reptiles has been recheduled from June 14th to July 1 at 1030 am. We had a electrical problem for the June 14th date and had to be closed that day. Also, remember we are having a checkout/read 5000 juvenille/young adult books that runs through July. Those who turn in a reading log get a great summer gift pack. Help us reach our goal.

Those who participated in the East Lake Annual Poetry Contest we are having the Poetry Awards Night on July 6 at 600pm. Events include the presentation of awards to the winners and poetry readings. Prizes were graciously purchased by the East Lake Friends of the Library. Refreshments will be provided.

 Have a great summer.
