The Lake County Library System will partner with University of Florida/IFAS Lake County Extension to present programs in April and May to assist residents in organizing their personal financial information and finding practical ways to make ends meet. Julie England, an Extension Agent specializing in educational programming in health, nutrition and financial management, will be our guest speaker.
The April program, Organize Your Financial Life, addresses creating a plan to organize important papers. Lack of organization can result is lost time and money as well as increase stress. Attendees will learn what documents to keep and the suggested retention time. In addition, how to replace missing papers will be covered. The first program will be held at the Helen Lehmann Memorial Library, 17435 5th Street in Montverde on Thursday, April 8th at 6 p.m. The second will be at the Marianne Beck Memorial Library, 122 W Central Avenue, Howey-in-the-Hills, on Wednesday, April 28st at noon.
In May, Dollar Decisions will demonstrate how to develop a spending and saving plan and set goals for the future. The first program will be at the Cooper Memorial Library on Wednesday, May 12th @ 2 p.m. and again at the Cagan Crossings Community Library on Thursday, May 13th @ 2 p.m.
