Cagan Crossings Library Ready for Summer

Mike Dinkins

The Cagan Crossings Library is ready for another busy summer. The focus is on the Children's Summer Reading Program through July 28th. Miss Kerri, Ms. Josie, and Ms. Eleanor have activities planned for most every day of the week. They have challenged participating youngsters to read a total of 500,000 minutes. If the kids accomplish this, Kerri, Josie, and Eleanor will all be dying their hair. Near the end of June the youngsters were well on there way to seeing red, green and purple hair on the Children's Librarians during the last week of July. The Children's crew will be taking a respite from programming during the month of August. Storytimes will begin once more early in September.

Saturday, August 15th, will bring the 2nd annual Star Wars gala to the library. Last years event was a spectacular success and we look forward to doing more of the same this year. With assistance from the 501st, a local Star Wars fan club, and the Friends of the Library there will be activities for people of all ages from 10:am until 3:pm.
