Paisley Library Chat

Paisley County Library was honored to have hosted Stephen G. Craft at the library on March 29, 20089, as part of the 6th Annual Festival of Reading. Dr. Craft spoke to 16 members of the audience, and showed a power point presentation of his book, entitled "Embry Riddle at War". This presentation was very well recieved, and all that were there were captivated by the event. Be on the lookout for our latest segment of the young adult movie book club. The first title of the year is "Golden Compass". Our next title will be forthcoming in June, and it is "Tale of Despereaux," by Kate DiCamillo. The target age group is 5th - 8th grades, but anyone can join in.

The Paisley Gardening group is going strong with about 25-30 at each of the meetings. The latest featured speaker was Dave Weller, who is a noted topiary specialist from Walt Disney World. Please make note of the next Paisley Garden Group meeting on April 9th at 6:00pm, when guest speaker Jane McCoig, will be discussing emergency preparedness, food and supply storage.
