What's happening at the Astor County Library!

Pamela Goodson

Spring Break is fast approaching. We plan on keeping our kids busy from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at our Art in the Park Program. The schedule is as follows: Monday, April 13th – Sculpey Clay Art; Tuesday, April 14th – Bird Feeder Art; Wednesday, April 15th – Wearable T-Shirt Art; Thursday, April 16th – Watercolor Art; and Friday, April 17th – Poster Collage & Art Show. The kids are asked to bring in a bagged lunch Monday through Thursday. On Friday hot dogs, chips, drinks, and dessert will be provided.
Our Read-to-Me Baby Party will be on Thursday, April 16th at 6:00 pm. Healthy snacks will be provided. Parents-to-be need to sign up in advance for baby bags filled with give-a-ways. There will be prizes and fun for everyone. Our local Kiwanis Club of Astor is happily helping to sponsor this event for the second year in a row. They just love holding everyone’s babies!
We have numerous craft programs lined up this quarter. Some of them are as follows: Tuesday, April 21st – Crafts for the Garden from 5:00 to 6:30 pm; Tuesday, April 28th – Jewelry Making from 5:00 to 6:30 pm; Tuesday, May 12th – Making Birdhouses from 5:00 to 6:30 pm; Thursday, May 14th – Bilingual Cake Decorating (part 3) from 5:30 to 6:30 pm; and Tuesday, May 19th – Jewelry Making from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.
Hope to see you in Astor!
