Downton Abbey is a British period drama television series created by Julian Fellowes and co-produced by Carnival Films and Masterpiece Theatre. It aired on PBS in the United States in 2011 as part of the Masterpiece Classic anthology. The series, set in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey, depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the post-Edwardian era – with the great events in history having an effect on their lives and on the British social hierarchy. It has become one of the most widely watched television drama shows in the world.

The Downton Abbey Dessert Tea will be held at the W. T. Bland Public Library located at 1995 N. Donnelly Street in Mount Dora. Tickets are $5.00 and may be paid by cash, check or credit card at the Circulation Desk. For additional information, call (352) 735-7180 option 5.
