Patrick Smith's A Land Remembered: The Multimedia Tour

Patrick Smith's A Land Remembered: The Multimedia Tour will be featured on Wednesday, October 30 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers @ Minneola City Hall. As we celebrate 500 years of Florida's history this best-selling novel reminds us of the hardships and the opportunities of the Florida frontier. Viva Florida!

Few if any books have captured the spirit and colorful history of Florida as has Patrick Smith’s beloved novel. This program is presented by Rick Smith, his son who states: "Patrick Smith, my father, has received many honors in his lifetime, from being inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame, being nominated for both the Nobel Prize and Pulitzer Prize, to getting the Lifetime Achievement Award in Literature. Such is the impact of his most beloved novel, A Land Remembered."

Presented by the Friends of the Minneola Schoolhouse Library and the Rosen Shingle Creek. A raffle will be held for 2 - $100 gift certificates for A Land Remembered Restaurant located in the Rosen Shingle Creek. The cuisine at A Land Remembered celebrates classic Florida, using only the finest of ingredients such as Harris Ranch all Natural Prime Black Angus Beef, as well as seafood offerings such as Florida Rock Shrimp.
