International Literacy Month

It's International Literacy Month and the Marion Baysinger Memorial County Library is celebrating with a photo gallery. Teens and adults can submit their photos of reading in the park to the staff at the library. State parks are also joining in the fun by allowing free admittance, Sunday, September 8, into any state park. Just show your library card or donate a book to get free admittance. Our local state park, Lake Louisa, is sending their Park Ranger, Scott Spaulding, to do a Snakes In the Library program on Thursday, September 12, at 5 p.m. Families are welcome to attend.

And rrrr, matey practice your pirate speech, Thursday, September 19 is Talk Like A Pirate Day! Then get to know your Congressman, Daniel Webster, and chat with him Tuesday, September 24 at 11 a.m. It's a busy month at the library. We've got programs for children, teens, and adults so check out our September calendar and come see what happening. See you at the library!
