Abe Lincoln & Mark Twain To Visit The Lady Lake Library

The Lady Lake Public Library is proud to host "Civil War History Day", on Tuesday, April 30th.
Civil War historians from The Villages' Civil War Group and local history enthusiasts will take
part in this exciting and educational event at the Lady Lake Public Library.

Historians will showcase their various memorabilia and artifacts in the lobby of the Library from
10:00 a.m. until 1:00.p.m. Guests may chat with the historians and also enjoy a documentary film.

A live theatrical production from Branson, Missouri, titled "Abe Lincoln, Mark Twain, and The
Civil War", will begin at 2:00 p.m. on the second floor of the library. Dave Ehlert portrays Lincoln
and Twain, depicting how a Union President and a Confederate Deserter fought against slavery
and racism in the pre and post war days. This 90-minute historical and humorous drama is
sponsored by The Friends of the Lady Lake Library.

The event is free to the public, and no reservations are needed.
