Marion Baysinger Launches Summer Reading

Readers of all ages will explore the night this summer as Marion Baysinger Memorial Library presents “Dream Big—READ!” during their summer program. The 2012 Summer Reading Program is open to preschool through young adult, with programs, prize drawings, games, crafts, and more.

Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program for children K – 5th grade. Two Grand Prizes will be presented to the top summer readers! Registration begins June 1.

Activities include special guests’ shows like Scott Humston, Jiggleman, C.A.R.E. Foundation, Ninth Period, Katie Adams and Shana Banana all on Thursdays at 2 p.m. in the Puryear Community Building in Groveland. Come enjoy our Tuesday Movie Matinees at 2 p.m. at the library, visit the library for movie listings and dates. Space is limited, arrive early!

Teens are invited to participate in a special reading competition for a chance to win the grand prize, an iPod Shuffler! Answer our fun challenge every week in order to earn tickets for our Friday raffles and for the iPod. Invite your friends to Wii Games on Wednesdays at the library at 2 p.m. “Teens Only” program.

The Marion Baysinger Memorial Library is located at 756 W Broad Street and the Puryear Building is located at 243 S. Lake Ave., both in Groveland.
