The Lady Lake Public Library announces Local Authors Day, an event to foster a sense of community in the area's literary scene, on Wednesday, April 18th from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Featured authors from Lake, Marion and Sumter counties will share with fans and fellow writers the enormous talent in the community.
There will be a wide variety of work including history, biography, mystery, romance, science fiction and Christian fiction. These participating authors are an active, vital part of the local Lake County literary and cultural community. Featured local authors include the following: Diana Ballard; Janet Beasley; Tom Bender; Lois Bennett; Joe Boschi; Steven Burgauer; Fran Cagner; Don Canaan; John Capone; Joel Christie; Robin Etter; Brian Fowler; Clare Hollister; Kenn Kincaid; Mary Ann Sciavillo-Lopez; Don Lubov; Carolyn Merryman; Michael Micchelli; Mark Newhouse; Barbara Phillips; Lois Pod; Jody Rehman; Gisela Riedinger; Bill Russell; Sherry Cooper-Sanders; Peter Shianna; Pam Smedley; Bea Swedien; and Joan West.
Authors will have books available for purchase and signing. The library will be offering incentives for anyone attending the program and visiting the author’s tables.
