Children's Programs

Basic Conversational Spanish
The Tavares Public Library will offer a free Basic Conversational Spanish Class on Mondays from April 7 to Aug. 25 in the conference Rroom. Please call the reference desk and register. This Spanish course pays equal attention to developing two language skills, listening and speaking, with a special emphasis on the oral aspects of the Spanish language. After this class we will offer a second class. This Spanish course pays equal attention to developing two language skills, reading and writing.

Grab-Bag Crafts
All elementary school aged children are welcome to Grab-Bag Crafts. Make a craft and take it home.

Toddler Story Time and Crafts
Kids ages birth to 5 bring mom and dad and enjoy lots of fun music, interactive finger plays, songs and stories in the library Youth Room with Miss Liz. A different-themed craft accompanies the story time each week.

Wii Wednesdays
Lots of Wii games available for play on the library gaming system in the Youth Room. There are also board and table games like Boggle, Uno, Scrabble, chess and many more. Have some fun on early release days and say wheeeee!

Karaoke
The Tavares Library will be opening the TRA Room for free karoake every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 p.m.starting April 23. Any school age child or teen who wishes may participate.
