  • Chef Warren Cooks at the Tavares Public Library
    Award-winning cookbook author Warren Caterson will bring his entertaining and energetic Cooking for Two at Home presentation to the Tavares Library on Tuesday, February, 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Center. Join Chef Warren as he shares dozens of kitchen tips, cooking hints and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking for two.

    Chef Warren has written two award-winning cookbooks Table for Two--The Cookbook for Couples and Table for Two-Back for Seconds, each featuring over 235 recipes using fresh and readily available ingredients. Copies of both of his books will be available for purchase after the presentation, and one copy of each cookbook will be given away as prizes in addition to other prizes.

    Sunday, February 15 at 3:00 pm at the Civic Center
    Tavares Public Library presents Dr. Harriet Masembe, an American citizen African storyteller and English Professor at Lake Sumter State College, Leesburg Florida. Her African storytelling program introduces through stories, songs and slides of African cities. The audience participates in singing, drumming and Q & A.

  • Nourish Your Bones and Joints will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 9,  in the Tavares Civic Center from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Julie England will speak on how to keep your bones in good shape, how to loose joint stiffness, and how to stay mobile.
