Meet the Berenstain Bears
Mama and Papa Berenstain will be at the South Lake Summer Reading Kick-off at the Cooper Memorial Library on Saturday, June 15, from 10 am - 12 pm. They are replacing Elephant and Piggy who will not be there as advertised. Come and meet Mama & Papa Berenstain and learn more about all the South Lake Libraries' summer reading games.

Dig Into Reading!: Summer Reading Game
Summer is the best time to catch up on reading for fun. Children can win prizes for all that summer vacation reading by playing the Dig Into Reading game. Sign-up and pick up game boards in the Kids' Corner. Children will have until Friday, Aug. 2, to turn in their game boards for prizes. A golden ticket drawing will take place each week. One lucky kid will win a tote bag of prizes and books each week.

Read to Sydney
Children are invited to read to a friendly therapy dog. As many as five children may read to the dog at one time. This program is first come, first-served with no pre-registration. It's recommended for students who are able to read somewhat independently.

Reading Paws
Children will love reading to sweet, safe therapy dogs who listen and never judge. This is for independent readers and by appointment only. Call for an appointment today as slots fill quickly.
