  • Grant Writing for Non-Profit Organizations with instructor Barbara Perry. Help your non-profit organization find and apply for foundation and government grants. This class, on Thursday, September 18th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., will provide you with the basics of grant writing and will provide tools to identify grant sources, look for mission match and determine how and when to apply for funding. This class will also provide a basic structure for your grant proposals that can be customized for your specific purpose. To register for this class please call 352-429-5840. General Program Offerings

Adult Literacy Tutoring

The Library along with the Lake County Adult Literacy Program provides free ESoL tutoring in individual tutoring sessions and classroom sessions. Ask at the library for more infromation.

The Adult Literacy Program designed to provide literacy services to adults who speak English but may need help to improve their reading or writing skills as well as adults who need tutoring in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESoL).  The tutors and adult learners meet weekly at their local library or other community-based location and have access to student workbooks; adult literacy materials; a computer-based literacy lab; and other library resources.
