The City of Tavares and the Lake County Library System will be kicking off Viva Libros!, the 2013 BookFest, with the Art on the Square exhibit by acclaimed Florida artist Catherine Haynes Stockwell. She is a listed artist whose pictures have been shipped as far as California and Alaska, allegedly having completed at least 5,000 paintings in her lifetime. She painted on many surfaces, materials or backs of posters. Tavares City Councilman, Bob Grenier, author of The Gallant Captain, Melton Haynes, will appear. Music will be provided by Captain Harry who has recorded and toured with hundreds of artists across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. His music is a rich blend of rock, soul, jazz, and reggae. Light refreshments will be provided by Emilianas.
